This list cover the most common questions but if there is anything you aren’t sure about feel free to reach out.
Who do you typically work with?
Studio Olival works primarily with creative and cultural businesses — including hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, accommodation, retail and independent brands looking for greater clarity, consistency and long-term recognition.
What makes a strong project fit?
Studio Olival works best with businesses that value clarity, thoughtful design and long-term brand growth over trend-led visuals or quick-turnaround solutions.
Can you work with existing branding?
Yes. Some projects involve refining and expanding an existing identity, while others begin from the ground up. The approach depends on the needs and stage of the business.
Can branding be developed in stages?
Yes. Some businesses begin with a focused identity package before expanding into wider digital systems, packaging or supporting brand applications over time.
Are copywriting and photography included?
Brand messaging, copywriting and photography can be supported through creative direction and trusted collaborators depending on the scope of the project.
What platforms do you design websites on?
Websites are designed across platforms including WordPress, Squarespace and Wix depending on the needs, scale and flexibility required for the project.
How are domains and hosting handled?
Domains and hosting can either be managed directly by the client or set up as part of the project depending on the platform and requirements of the business.
How long does a project take?
Timelines vary depending on scope and applications included. Most identity projects take between 3–5 weeks, while larger brand and digital systems typically take 6–10 weeks.
Will I be involved throughout the project?
Absolutely. Close collaboration is an important part of the process, allowing the final outcome to feel aligned with both the business and the people behind it.
Do you work internationally?
Yes, Studio Olival works remotely with clients across Portugal, the UK, Ireland and internationally depending on the scope and requirements of the project.
What will I receive on completion?
Final deliverables typically include logo files, typography and colour systems, brand guidelines and supporting assets prepared for both digital and print application.
How does payment work?
Projects are typically split into staged payments to keep things clear and manageable, usually 50% upfront to secure the booking, with the remaining 50% due on completion.
For larger or longer projects, this can be broken into multiple stages (for example, 40% upfront, 30% at a key milestone, and 30% on completion). This is always agreed in advance and outlined in the proposal.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Ongoing creative support and refinements can be discussed depending on the needs of the business following launch.
