This list cover the most common questions but if there is anything you aren’t sure about feel free to reach out.
Who do you typically work with?
Studio Olival works with independent founders who are ambitious and ready to align their branding or digital experience with their business goals.
I particularly enjoy working with creative and cultural businesses where thoughtful design can make a meaningful difference to how the business is understood, experienced and remembered.
What makes a strong project fit?
The best projects start with a shared belief that good design should have a purpose.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin. You simply need to be open to looking at your business, your audience and your goals, and creating something that reflects where you want to go next.
CAN I WORK WITH YOU IF I ALREADY HAVE A BRAND?
Absolutely. A full rebrand isn’t always necessary.
If your existing identity still has a strong foundation, we can work with what you have and develop it into a more considered, cohesive and useful brand system.
For website projects, we’ll assess what is already working before deciding what needs to change.
Can branding be developed in stages?
Yes. Your brand doesn’t necessarily need to be created all at once.
Depending on what your business needs, we can begin with the foundations and develop the visual identity, website and wider digital presence at the right stage.
I’ll recommend the approach that makes the most sense for your business rather than adding work simply for the sake of it.
Are copywriting and photography included?
Copywriting and photography aren’t included as standard, but they are an important part of creating a strong brand and digital experience.
I’ll guide you on the content and imagery your project needs, and can work alongside trusted specialists where additional expertise is required.
What platform will my website be built on?
There isn’t one platform that’s right for every business.
I’ll recommend a platform based on your website’s requirements, how you want to manage it after launch and the level of flexibility you’ll need as your business grows.
The aim is to give you a website that not only looks right, but feels practical to own and use.
WILL I BE ABLE TO UPDATE MY WEBSITE MYSELF?
Yes. Wherever possible, your website will be built with your day-to-day use in mind.
You’ll receive guidance on managing your site after launch, so you’re not left wondering how to make a simple update or change.
If you’d rather have ongoing support, that’s available too.
How are domains and hosting handled?
Your domain and hosting remain in your name, so you retain ownership of your website and its essential accounts.
I’ll advise you on what you need, help with the setup where appropriate, and make sure everything is connected correctly before launch.
How long does a project take?
Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project, but I’ll give you a clear timeline before we begin.
Brand identity projects typically take several weeks, while website projects depend on the size and complexity of the site.
The process is intentionally considered rather than rushed, with space for strategy, design, feedback and refinement.
Will I be involved throughout the project?
Yes, but you won’t be expected to make every decision.
I’ll guide you through each stage and explain the thinking behind the work, while giving you considered opportunities to review and shape the direction.
My role is to bring expertise and clarity to the process, not simply hand you a design at the end.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. Studio Olival works with clients both locally and internationally.
Projects can be managed remotely through a combination of video calls, presentations and shared digital workspaces, so location doesn’t need to be a barrier.
What will I receive on completion?
You’ll receive everything agreed within your chosen package, along with the relevant files, assets and guidance you need to use your new brand or website confidently.
For website projects, this includes a considered handover so you understand how your platform works and what to do next.
The aim is that you leave with something you can actually use, not simply a collection of files.
How does payment work?
Payment is divided into agreed stages throughout the project, with the exact schedule outlined in your proposal and contract.
A deposit is required to secure your project and the remaining payments are made as the work progresses.
Your project will only be scheduled once the initial payment has been received.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes. Once your project is complete, you don’t have to figure everything out alone.
I offer ongoing support where needed, whether that’s help with website updates, small design requirements or guidance as your business evolves.
The level of support can be tailored to what you actually need.
